Bayes Information Technology Ltd. was formed in 1998 to leverage extensive research and development done in the field of Bayesian Networks and data visualization technology in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Helsinki. After three years of development the BayMiner on-line analysis service on the web was released in autumn 2001.
